The template consists of multiple sheets, each covering a specific part of the estimation process. The overall figures are displayed on a separate sheet with charts visualizing estimated and actual costs across different categories.
Thus, the template includes the following sheets:
- Project Budget. It's the main table where you can enter all information about labor, materials, and profit costs for each category. We’ve included sample categories, from general requirements (plans, reviews, permits) to windows, plumbing, and insulation.
- Dashboard. Your main estimate sheet displays the totals from all the tables you fill out. It also includes two comparison charts: Estimated vs. Actual Costs and Labor vs. Material Costs (you can customize them to show other indicators).
- Project Gantt Chart. This sheet allows you to schedule each task in relation to previous and subsequent project phases. The table automatically displays the percentage of completion with color coding.
- Contact List. It's a section for entering all necessary contacts.
- Calculator. This sheet includes ready-made formulas for calculating various values, from paint coverage units to tile coverage inputs.
- Setup. It's a sheet where you can set values for drop-down lists.
