No. You can search, preview and copy templates without signing in. Signing in is only needed to save templates to collections.
Click the puzzle icon in the Chrome toolbar and pin TheGoodocs. Then click its icon to open the side panel next to any page.
Open a template and press Get a Copy. An editable copy is created in your Google account, ready to edit in Google Docs.
Tap the bookmark on a card, tick one or more collections or create a new one, and press Done. You can delete collections in My collections.

Right-click the TheGoodocs icon in the toolbar and choose Remove from Chrome, or remove it from chrome://extensions.

Tap the bookmark on any card to add it to one or more collections, or create a new one on the spot. Rename-free and simple: create, fill, delete.
Get a copy without leaving the panel
Open a template, check its format, dates and downloads, and press Get a Copy. Fewer steps, faster start.
