Graphic Designer Resumes Templates FAQ
A graphic designer's resume should meet the same established standards as a document for professionals in most other industries. The main thing is that the key information should be easily recognizable among all the sections.
However, there are some differences:
- Freelance graphic designers are better off using the functional resume format and adding a link to their portfolio. This is better than listing all the companies you worked for on one project.
- Other graphic designers can include a reverse chronological work history, but a link to the portfolio is also a must-have. In this case, a combination resume format will work well. First, indicate your technical skills and specialization (Adobe, UI/UX, publication design, motion design, or another). Then you can add the names of companies, the period of work, and responsibilities.
If you're unsure where to start creating a resume, use our pre-made templates. We offer time-tested structures and designs. Download any sample in Google Docs or Word, enter information about your background and qualifications, and apply for a new job.
